Option ICON 401/505 support for Dovado UMR; better late than never!

Infoferenda on tuesday 2009-08-11 Prowdly presents release of Dovado UMR 4.0.

As a result of the release of the new Dovado firmware, Infoferenda starts selling the updated version of the UMR.
The new firmware allows usage of the Option ICON 401 in the UMR. This creates a whole new possibility for external antenna function added to a 3G router solution.

Later this week, Infoferenda will start selling Antenna bundles for the ICON 401.

An external antenna e.g 3G Directional 11 dBi, Option ICON 401 and the Dovado UMR makes a great bundle for fixed 3G solutions. This can be used as an redundancy to ADSL or CABLE soultion or as a fixed solution in a remote area.
If you replace the Directional antenna with a Omni Directional antenna you have an optimized bundle for mobile solutions such as boats, caravans, cars, limousines and mobile homes.

Using the Dovado with a 3G USB modem gives you a WiFi signal and allows mulitple computers connected to the same 3G acces point.
